Oh, Hello!

Hi! Welcome to my blog! I’m Rachel Dian, a 25 year old graphic designer and crafting enthusiast.  I recently relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia with my mischievous cat Meebo, a lot (!) of books, and my impressive board game collection.  I started the Crook & Villain blog in 2009 as a way to keep track of my crafty endeavors and apartment decorating pursuits.  I’ve been selling crafty things online since 2006, originally under the pseudonym Consider Arson.  Now you can buy original C&V crafts + prints through Etsy and Society6.

+ + You can see lots of my recent design work in my portfolio at racheldian.com.

Alternately, you can watch this video I made about how to use a print gocco machine.

I am completely inspired by handmade papercrafts, small art, hand-lettering and typography, vintage photography, and pictures of cats on the internet.  I love pretty floral patterns, the outfits of librarians and fishermen, grammar, turquoise, rock and roll music, wilderness gardens, thrifting, DIY weddings, cookbooks, gold nail polish, and of course, crooks and villains.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you stay a while.

Get in touch! Let’s make pretty things together.

xoxo,

rachel
